The entrance to the trail is just outside Ballyconnell on the R199 Killeshandra/Carrigallen Road, just south of the church.

Suitable for walkers, cyclists and families, this trail links Ballyconnell and Ballyheady along the scenic banks of the Woodford River, part of the Shannon-Erne Waterway. 

The trail links to the Woodford Village Wak, part of the UNESCO Cuilcasagh Lakelands Geopark.
